Analysis
The matrix: fourteen live candidates scored, and three record-state rows that cannot be scored at all
Scoring every non-zero candidate against the fifteen attributes on a five-level scale - strong, soft or partial, unknown or untested, absent, contradicted - puts Candidate B, Ackworth, Cheddington 1608, C(ii) Berkhamsted, Candidate D, the Epping and North Weald line, Hitcham, the Newgate apprentice, Weston Turville, the Bucks/Herts/Beds group, A(1603) Stewkley, Gurley of Westminster, C(i) Berkhamsted and Stewkley 1611 side by side, with the eliminated Eythorne household scored as calibration. Laying them out side by side is what made the structural finding visible; it was not apparent from any candidate's own file. The three leading probability rows - no record survives or is indexed anywhere, documented but never assembled into a person, and documented but in a source or class not yet searched - are not people and cannot be scored on the matrix at all, and between them they hold about 44 percent.
