Muskett: the Gurdon–Sedley–Lewkenor puritan matrix (no Gurney in the volume)
Muskett's Suffolk Manorial Families grounds the English network behind the 1627 letter: Brampton Gurdon married Muriel, a Sedley-of-Morley and Knyvett-of-Ashwelthorpe granddaughter, and the 1591 will of Martha Heigham of Denham names Martha Lewkenor (the future Mrs. Gurney) among the Denham Lewkenor daughters and endows an Emmanuel College scholarship — the Denham puritan-gentry matrix. No early-modern Gurney appears anywhere in the volume; the Gurdon–Gurney link runs solely through the Sedley/Lewkenor channel.
